Who is the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force?

The question asks who currently holds the top uniformed leadership role in the U.S. Air Force, the four-star general who leads the service and advises civilian leadership on strategy, readiness, and operations. The best answer is General David W. Allvin, who took on the role in 2023 as the 40th Chief of Staff of the Air Force. This position is held by a four-star general, making it distinct from other ranks listed, such as a brigadier general who is a one-star officer, a major who is a field-grade officer but not the top commander, or a civilian official. So, General Allvin is the correct choice because he is the senior uniformed officer entrusted with those responsibilities.
