What are the Air Force Core Values?

The Air Force Core Values are three guiding principles that shape how Airmen act and decide in all situations. Integrity First means doing the right thing—being honest, accountable, and trustworthy—even when it’s hard or costly. Service Before Self emphasizes placing the mission, the Air Force, and teammates above personal interests. Excellence in All We Do is a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement in every task. These three exact phrases—Integrity First, Service Before Self, Excellence in All We Do—constitute the official Core Values. Other widely recognized value sets exist, but they aren’t the Air Force’s official trio (for example, Courage, Loyalty, Excellence; Duty, Honor, Country; or Respect, Responsibility, Integrity).
